Exploring the Yamas & Niyamas
The Yamas and Niyamas are the first two limbs of Patanjali's 8 limbed path as described in the Yoga Sutras. These yogic principals serve as road map toward a pure yoga practice, both on and off the mat.
In the first half of the workshop we will explore the 5 Yamas: Ahimsa (non-violence), Satya (truthfulness), Asteya (non-stealing), Brahmacharya (control of the senses), Aparigraha (non-clinging).
In the second half on the workshop we will explore the 5 Niyamas: Sauca (purity), Santosa (contentment), Tapas (discipline), Svadhyaya (self-study), Ishvara Pranidhana (Devotion to the Divine, as interpreted by the practitioner).

Introduction to the Bandhas
This Introduction to the Bandhas explains how we can incorporate each body lock safely and effectively throughout our yoga practice. We will have fun with exploring each one through a series of Hatha, Vinyasa and Kundalini yoga postures. This workshop is designed to improve your understanding of what each lock feels like in your body, so you can transform your practice safely and effectively. This workshops is not meant to teach you how to teach others, and as a yoga teacher it is not recommended to teach the bandhas in a classroom setting until you have several years of experience with practicing them in your body.
Pregnant women should not engage the bandhas. This workshop is not suitable for pregnant yogis.
